The most common type of internal investigation deals with finding dishonest employees. Traditional or Undercover investigations can be instituted at the place of business with the goal of helping detect and stop internal theft and fraud. Drug and Alcohol abuse not only affects the employee’s need for additional money and desire to steal, it also creates a tremendous liability in regard to employee accidents, customer safety, and public image.

Undercover agents utilized as employees or customers can also investigate general operational issues for our clients. Among areas of review are training, supervision, employee morale, employee misconduct, policy violations, safety hazards, time card irregularities, and physical condition of the workplace and customer area. Undercover agents can also be sent to vendor or retail locations to determine how your company’s products and image is represented to the general public.

After suspects of internal theft or misconduct have been identified, our agency can have trained interviewers perform interviews and interrogations to corroborate information developed during an investigation. This often provides a confession or admission to misconduct, allowing the client to proceed with the termination of offending employees and/or contacting law enforcement authorities if needed. Third party interviews can also be conducted by our investigators regarding discrimination or sexual harassment cases.

One of the most valuable tools in gathering irrefutable evidence for theft or misconduct is video surveillance. This tool can be utilized in a number of methods including in conjunction with an undercover operation or a hidden video set-up.
